Tonight, I’ll be hosting our employee party—and I can’t wait! Over the years, we’ve hosted a number of activities to celebrate and honor our employees. We’ve had many Christmas parties and have attended shows together at Clowes Hall or the Indiana Repertory Theater. But, I particularly like having our employees over to my house. It’s like my family is coming over for dinner.
As a family-run business, the sense of family is all around us. We have siblings that work here… mothers and daughters… my son Jonathan works here and my grandkids are starting to help push the pies forward on the line… we even have employees who have been with us from day one (or soon after). A special call-out to the following for their nearly 25 years of service:

• Fanny Hensley, salad prep
Our employees are as much a part of my daily life as my natural family. I’m grateful for each and every one of them. Do me a favor, if you stop by Jonathan Byrd’s today, thank them for their service. They deserve it!
